a program I really didn't want to do

At the beginning of the school year I met with the other two elementary music teachers in my district to strategize. (For some reason the spell check is not recognizing the word "strategize.") When our curriculum director came in to talk, they balked on me and I was urged to do a program with my second graders. I've been in to the workings of it with the kids since January. They are doing a Texas program. They know several songs, one in Spanish, and a couple of dances (square and a polka)and are doing rather well with it. The program is scheduled for Thursday and I've been getting things ready for it including some decorations. Here is a picture of the cowboy I just finished with--no, I didn't draw him--used an opaque projector and a free coloring page off the internet. I did chalk him in though and I think he looks pretty handsome even if I do say so myself. I'll be glad when Thursday night is over.

Adios amigos!
